Step by step: from the call to your CRM
You sign up and get a number
You sign up online in the Autorys panel. A phone number is included in the price: that is where your unanswered calls will go.
You turn on call forwarding
With your phone carrier’s code you forward calls that you don’t answer or that find you busy. On many US carriers the code is *72 or *71, but it varies; your panel shows the steps. Your customers keep calling your usual number.
It answers like your front desk
It greets the caller with your business name and lets them know the call is recorded. It answers in English or Spanish, in the caller’s language.
It takes the details and books
It asks for the name, phone number, address if needed, and what the caller wants, and it books the visit or appointment in your CRM calendar.
It transfers when you want
During the hours you choose, it can pass the call to up to 3 people at your business, announcing the caller first. If nobody answers, it takes a message and books the appointment.
You get the report
When the call ends you receive an email and a CRM alert with who called, what they wanted, whether an appointment was booked, how long the call lasted, and the recording with its transcript.
What the AI needs to know about your business
The AI answers with the information you give it. The more complete it is, the better it handles your calls.
- Your business name and how you want it to greet callers
- Your services, and the prices you are willing to share by phone
- Your hours and the area you serve
- Who can receive transferred calls and at what times
Rules it follows on every call
- It lets the caller know the call is recorded.
- It does not make up prices or answers: if it doesn’t know, it takes a message for you.
- If someone reports a gas smell, a fire or an injury, it tells them to hang up and dial 911, and never transfers that call.
What it does not do
Knowing the limits helps you decide. The AI is not connected to other systems you may use, like order tracking or inventory software, so it cannot look up information that lives only there. In those cases it transfers the call or takes a message. It also does not take card payments over the phone.
Where you see everything
Every call stays in the CRM that comes with the receptionist: who called, the AI summary, the recording, the transcript and the appointment. The CRM is included in the $149 USD a month, together with 500 minutes and the phone number.
